Ray Friel’s COVID-19 testing centre open over Easter weekend

As a way to provide extra testing capacity over the Easter weekend, the COVID-19 testing centre at Orleans’ Ray Friel Centre will be open.

The Ottawa COVID-19 Testing Taskforce confirmed that the testing centre will be operating on Sunday, April 4 only.

The team will test patients four years and older following the same testing criteria and techniques using nasopharyngeal swabs.

Specimens will be processed by the Ottawa Public Health Lab in Ottawa, and results will be available in 24 to 48 hours through the Ontario Health results portal.
