Rotating postal strikes hit the capital again

By Jenn Pritchard

The latest round of rotating strikes at Canada Post has hit Ottawa.

Workers are walking the picket line outside the sorting plant on Industrial Avenue.

This means no mail delivery on Friday.

The walk out comes as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he is still hoping for a negotiated settlement despite having tabled back-to-work legislation in the House of Commons.

The back-to-work bill could be debated and voted on in the house on Friday.

CUPW, the union that represents the postal workers, has warned of a legal battle if the Federal government passes the legislation calling the move 'unconstitutional.'
