Saunders Farm staff concussed in attacks

The search is on for multiple groups of young people who attacked several of the scare actors at Saunders Farm's annual Halloween attractions.

The farm's Fright Fest was apparently targeted by groups of young people daring each other to assault the farm's staff, last Saturday night.

“It seemed to be similar groups of boys and girls of high school age, that were on a 'car rally,'” said Mark Saunders, one of the people who operates Saunders Farm. “Their dare, or one of the things they had to do, was to assault an actor at Saunders Farm.”

Eight different people were punched or hit in the attacks, and Saunders says two of his staff have concussions as a result.

Saunders insists his family's farm is still safe for visitors, but precautions are being taken to prevent another similar ocurrance.

“We've now basically doubled our security at each of our haunts and at the entrance to each haunt,” Saunders told 1310 NEWS. “And, we'll be splitting groups of people up.”

Saunders Farm has posted about the attack on its social media feeds, and hopes that someone hearing about the attacks will come forward with information that will help police catch the people responsible.
