The Senators have recalled defenceman Michael Del Zotto from the taxi squad and assigned forward Scott Sabourin from the Belleville Senators to the taxi squad. The team also said that assistant coach Bob Jones has been placed in the NHL's COVID-19 protocol.
Ottawa now has nine players on the COVID-19 protocol list with Chabot, Tierney and Sanford joining Anton Forsberg, Josh Norris, Tyler Ennis, Dillon Heatherington, Nick Paul and Jacob Bernard-Docker.
This is the second time the Senators are dealing with COVID-19 outbreak with the team having three games postponed back in November.
The Senators' next game is scheduled for Thursday in Seattle against the Kraken.
