SIU investigating collision between police cruiser, cyclist

The Special Investigations Unit is appealing for witnesses to a collision between a police cruiser and a bicycle in Cornwall.
Around 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, a 33-year-old cyclist was seriously injured in the crash on Second Street East.
An unmarked police SUV was traveling in the same direction at the cyclist when the driver made a right turn onto McConnell Avenue, colliding with the cyclist in the bike lane.
SUI investigators believe there was a red Sedan at the intersection when the collision occurred.
They are urging that driver and anyone else who witnessed the collision to contact them at 1-800-787-8529.
