Several schools of the Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) will remain closed on Thursday, May 26 as cleanup efforts continue across the city from the devastating storm that rippled through the nation's capital during the Victoria Day long weekend.

OCSB officials announced in an update issued on May 25 that the following schools have no power, and will be closed on May 26:

  •  Frank Ryan
  •  Our Lady of Peace
  •  Sacred Heart
  •  St. Andrew
  •  St. Bernard
  •  St. Daniel
  •  St. Gemma
  •  St. Gregory
  •  St. Isidore
  •  St. Leonard
  •  St. Michael – 437 Donald Street
  •  St. Monica
  •  St. Philip
  •  St. Rita

The OCSB revealed that if a school has power, it will be open. St. Monica School, which suffered severe roof damage, will be closed for the remainder of the week.

OCSB officials revealed that remote learning will begin for students of schools without power beginning May 30, 2022.

The Ottawa Student Transportation Authority (OSTA) will have some routes running on May 26, and OSTA is asking parents to check the OSTA website for updates.
