10 more charges laid against Ottawa man in child pornography, sex assault investigation

An Ottawa man, who was already facing 44 charges for sex crimes against minors, is now facing more charges.    

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS), has laid 10 additional charges against Danyiel 'Dan' Walker, 43, of Ottawa, in addition to previous charges laid in 2019.  

According to the OPS, the new charges are in relation to a male victim who was under the age of 14 at the time of incidents, between 2012 and 2013.    

On Thursday, January 28, police charged Walker with the following offences:

  • Unlawful Possession of Child Pornography
  • Telecommunication with Person Under or Believed to Be Under 18 Years for Specific Criminal Offences. 
  • Three counts of Telecommunications with Person Under or Believed Under 16 Years for Specific Criminal Offences    
  • Making Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child
  • Invitation to Sexual Touching Under 16 Years of Age
  • Harassment by Repeated Communication with Person 
  • Two counts of Harassment by Watching and Besetting

OPS investigators are concerned there could be more victims and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
