Three people charged after OPP execute search warrant at Perth residence

Three people have been charged after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the town of Renfrew on Dec. 8. 

OPP investigators seized over 60 grams of suspected crack cocaine, over $4,000 in Canadian currency and a prohibited handgun. 

Two young people from Toronto are among those who have been charged, and can't be identified due to their age. 

A 48-year-old resident of Perth has been charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purposes of trafficking – cocaine 
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
