The Renfrew County District School Board says Sherwood Public School and Madawaska Valley District High School have been evacuated after carbon monoxide detectors confirmed gas in the schools.
It was detected in the Student Success Area of Madawaska Valley District High School.
The school board says students have been safely moved to their designated evacuation waiting areas while the local fire department checks the building.
