Two local schools hope to have heat fixed soon

By Jason White

Two local schools without working heating systems hope to have their boilers back up and running early this week.

New boilers were installed over the summer at Our Lady of Peace School in Bells Corners, and Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in the east end, but both systems require a part before they will be operational.

A school board spokesperson says Our Lady of Mount Carmel's new boilers will be fully operational today, while an external boiler is expected to be installed at Our Lady of Peace, today.

The schools have space heaters to keep the school comfortable, in the meantime, and the school board says both schools are open.
