Emergency crews responded to two separate rescues on the Ottawa River over the weekend.

Crews first responded to Cassels Street at Britannia Road at 11 a.m. Sunday, to assist a 28-foot sailboat with a motor break down.

The boat was towed safely to shore and there were no injuries.

Then around 12:15 p.m., crews responded to the Lac Deschenes Sailing Club at 10 Rangeview Avenue for a boat that had lost its moorings.

The boat had been driven from the shore and become stuck on rocks.

The sole occupant was brought safely to shore and there were no injuries.
