UPDATE: Four dead in housefire south of Kemptville

Four bodies have been recovered from the scene of a house fire in Oxford Mills, south of Kemptville.

Officers from Grenville County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to assist members of the North Grenville Fire Service, with a fully engulfed, residential fire on Stone Road in Oxford Mills on Sunday, January 10, around 6:15 p.m.

Investigators initially called for the public's help in finding four people believed to be missing, but have since recovered the remains of four people. 

While identities have not yet been confirmed by the Regional Coroner's Office, police say family members have been notified.

The incident remains under investigation by the Office of the Fire Marshal and the Coroner's Office, with the assistance of Grenville OPP.
