UPDATE: Off-duty police officer killed in overnight crash

Highway 7 is closed in both directions as Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers investigate an early morning collision that left one person dead.
In a tweet, the OPP said the crash, between a transport truck and a passenger vehicle, took place on Highway 7, east of Drummond Street in Perth on Nov. 18 just after 3;45 a.m.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, Drew Nadeau, 31 of Perth, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the tractor trailer did not sustain any injuries.
Nadeau was a constable with the Ottawa Police Service (OPS)
The OPP is asking anyone who may have witnessed what happened to call 1-888-310-1122.
