BlackJacks host Honey Badgers in CEBL semifinal matchup

The winner of the Ottawa-Hamilton game will face the winner of the other semifinal between the Niagara River Lions and the Scarborough Shooting Stars in the championship game on Aug. 14 at TD Place Arena

The Ottawa BlackJacks take on the Hamilton Honey Badgers in a CEBL semifinals matchup on Aug. 12 at TD Place.

The Ottawa BlackJacks host the Hamilton Honey Badgers in a Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) Championship Weekend semifinal on Aug. 12 at  at TD Place Arena.

Tip-off is at 7 p.m.

The Honey Badgers finished the 2022 CEBL regular season in first place with a 14-6 record, while the BlackJacks finished as the eighth seed, earning an automatic bye to the semifinals as the host city of Championship Weekend.

Hamilton lost three of their last four games to close out the regular season. Ottawa entered the CEBL postseason on a three-game winning streak. Hamilton and Ottawa split the season series one game each – Hamilton won the first matchup by a score of 86-75 on July 2 and Ottawa emerged victorious with a 104-95 win in the rematch on July 24.
