Armed and dangerous man wanted by Ottawa police

The Ottawa Police Service is still searching for one man in relation to a chase which ended at a plaza on the corner of Fisher Avenue and Baseline Road, and the investigation that followed.

Philippe Mallet, 24, of Ottawa is facing charges of:

– Careless storage of a firearm.
– Possession of a weapon dangerous to public.
– Possession of a firearm other than restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a licence.
– Possession of a firearm other than restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence.
– Possession of a firearm, etc, while prohibited.
– Fail to comply condition of judicial release (six counts).
– Possession of a schedule I substance .

He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, police are warning you not to approach him, but call 911.

Four men were arrested on April 13 after the chase, and then another was taken into custody separately. Officers seized four loaded handguns and a large quantity of drugs as part of an ongoing investigation. 

The five people already arrested are as follows: 

– Haider Affat, 29.
– Grace M'pemo, 22.
– Abdulaziz Al-Enzi, 31.
– Abraham Bihi, 28.
– Keyonte Fletcher, 26.

The police investigation is still ongoing.
