Arrest made after police vehicle rammed in Nepean

This incident started when threats were made at a business on Hunt Club Road at Merivale Road.
The Ottawa Police Service said, just after 4 p.m. on Sunday, a man walked into a building and made threats to former colleagues before taking off in his vehicle. That vehicle was spotted a short time later by an officer in the dead end of Bentley Avenue.
An officer made a traffic stop and while he was entering information in his police cruiser, the suspect pulled away with his vehicle and rammed the police car.
Other officers soon arrived on scene and arrested the driver.
The officer suffered minor injuries when his vehicle was hit.
Fadi Alnouilati, 36, of Ottawa is facing the following charges:
– Flight while being pursued
– Dangerous driving cause bodily harm
– Utter threats x 2
– Mischief to property over $5000
– Assault with a weapon
– Breach of Probation
He appeared in court on Monday.
