An arrest has been made in the 2016 death of a Gatineau man.

The Sûreté du Québec says a 59-year-old Val des Monts man was arrested, Tuesday, June 15, in Gatineau, in connection with the investigation into the death of Yves Cyr

Cyr, 41, went missing in December of 2015. His body was recovered along the Gatineau River in June of 2016, and police confirmed the death was being investigated as a homicide.

Police have not identified the man in custody, and no information has been released regarding charges either.

Quebec provincial police do say, however, that there could be other suspects in the case.
