Arrest made in 32-year-old Arnprior woman’s death

A man from McNab/Braeside Township has been arrested in connection to the death of an Arnprior woman that happened earlier this month.

Renfrew OPP said that on January 4 at about 9:30 a.m. cops and paramedics responded to a call at a residence in Arnprior.

A 32-year-old woman was transported to hospital via air ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

The victim later succumbed to her injures on Thursday, January 20.

A post mortem examination is scheduled for January 24.

A 32-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident and remains in custody.

He was charged at that time with attempting to commit murder.

The investigation by the Renfrew OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, is continuing.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the courts via video link on February 7.

The name of the accused and the name of the victim are not being released at this time.
