The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a carjacking in the city's west end, which left one woman with serious injuries.
It happened on Monday at 8:52 a.m.
Police found the vehicle a short time later, after it had crashed.
Two suspects fled the scene, leaving a 26-year-old woman injured inside the car. She was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.
Front line officers and two K-9 were involved in a tracking, locating and arresting both suspects.
The two men were taken to hospital with minor injuries, sustained in the car crash.
Dylan Meulmeester, 25, of Ottawa was charged with:
- Robbery with violence
- Conspiracy to Commit
- Mischief over $5,000
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Breach of Probation
Sebastien Bureau, 24, of Aylmer, Quebec was charged with:
- Robbery with violence
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor vehicle Cause Bodily Harm
- Mischief over $5,000
- Conspiracy to Commit an Offence
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Fail to Comply with a Probation Order
Meulmeester and Bureau will be in court on Tuesday.
