Attempted murder among charged laid against second man in Overbrook shooting

A 28-year-old Cornwall man is the latest to be charged in a shooting on Queen Mary Street in Overbrook.
The incident happened last Thursday, November 8, at 4:04 p.m.
On scene, a couple blocks east of Vanier Parkway, officers gathered information about the people involved; descriptions and vehicles.
Steve Percy, 24, of Ottawa,was arrested and charged with several offences on Friday, November 9.
After a follow up investigation, a second man has been identified then arrested in Cornwall. He was transported back to Ottawa to face charges.
Kerby Franklin, of Cornwall, is charged with:
– Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
– Careless use of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
– Pointing a firearm
– Possession of a weapon
– Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
– Carrying concealed weapon
– Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
– Using a firearm to commit an indictable offence
– Attempt murder (2 counts)
Franklin is scheduled to be at show cause court by video, Tuesday.
The OPS Central Criminal Investigation Unit continues to investigate the shooting.
