Busy long weekend for Ottawa police includes catching Woodroffe speeder going 143 km/hr

Six drivers are facing stunt driving charges.

A number of Ottawa residents are left with fines to pay after a busy Easter weekend for Ottawa police officers.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) says it issued 85 provincial offence notices, six stunt driving charges, seven impaired driving related offences, and one three-day suspension over the weekend. 

On Saturday, April 3, a driver was caught going 143 km/hr in an 80km/hr zone on Woodroffe Avenue.
