FOUND: Canada-wide warrant issued for offender known to frequent Ottawa

The Ontario Provincial Police's (OPP) Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is asking for the public's help in tracking down a federal offender, wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, as he's breached statutory release.  

Manasie Ipeelee is described as:

  • Indigenous
  • 49-year-old
  • 5' 4″ (163 cm)
  • 143 lbs (65 kg)
  • Long black hair
  • Goatee
  • Brown eyes (wears prescription glasses)
  • Tattoos of “M.I” on his upper right arm, “N.O.” & “M” on his left foreman, “R.K.,” Love on this fingers, a heart and four dots on his left hand, “MI, TQ” on his upper back and “Mangi” on his left thigh

Ipeelee is serving a one-year, five-month and 20-day sentence for breaching a long term supervision order, resulting from a six-year sentence for sexual assault causing bodily harm.  

The offender is known to frequent Ottawa as well as Iqaluit, Nunavut.
