Charges for six after Ottawa police search two illegal pot shops

The Ottawa Police Service says three men and three woman have been charged with numerous provincial offences under the new provincial Cannabis Control Act.
Provincial Offences Act search warrants were executed by the Ottawa Police Drug Unit at two illicit cannabis storefronts in Ottawa, Tuesday. Those stores are located on Rideau Street and Churchill Avenue.
Police say cannabis products and proceeds were also seized in the raids.
All six accused are set to appear in court at a later date.
