Charges laid in two separate domestic incidents

Police have charged two individuals with criminal offences in two separate domestic related incidents earlier this month. 

On Sept. 4, members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic assault at a residence in the Township of Bonnechere Valley. As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged a 37-year-old from Eganville with the following offences:

  • Assault peace officer (two counts)
  • Resist arrest
  • Domestic assault (two counts)
  • Forcible confinement
  • Domestic mischief (two counts)

The accused was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Killaloe at a later date.

On Sept. 7, police responded to a domestic dispute at residence in the Township of Bonnechere Valley. As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged a 30-year-old from Renfrew with domestic mischief.

The accused was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Killaloe at a later date. The names of the accused will not be released to protect the victims' identities.
