Court date set for driver in deadly 401 bus crash

The driver of a bus, which collided with a rock wall along Highway 401 near Prescott, will appear in court on February 28 in Brockville.

On November 26, 2018, members of the Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police charged the driver involved in the June 4, 2018 crash. 

The passenger bus was full of people visiting Canada from China.

Three of the passengers died and 34 were injured. 

The driver, Jia Qi, 31, of Flushing, New York, was charged with careless driving.

The OPP wishes to clarify that the delay in this information being made public was as a result of the notification process to all involved passengers whom reside in China.
