Fentanyl, heroin, oxycodone seized in Orléans police investigation

Three Ottawa men are facing drug-related charges after police seized fentanyl, heroin and oxycodone following an investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity in an Orléans neighbourhood.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) says it started getting calls about suspected drug trafficking in the Barnabé Park area of Orléans back in July of this year.

The OPS' Drug Unit launched an investigation which concluded Wednesday,October 20, with the arrest of three men and seizure of more than half a kilogram of fentanyl, more than 40 grams of heroin and numerous oxycodone pills. 

Hassan Ozeir, 31, Jamal Dia, 25, and Ali Haidar, 24, all of Ottawa, now face drug trafficking and proceeds of crime offences.

They are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
