Five more people charged following post-Panda Game mischief

The accused are facing charges of mischief and taking part in a riot.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is charging five more people after destructive behaviour saw a car overturned in a Sandy Hill neighbourhood following this fall's football game between the University of Ottawa and Carleton University.

The OPS says photos it released on October 7 have lead to the identification of more suspects, including the identification of other people believed to be involved in the mischief whose photos had not been released.

Three more men, a male youth, and a woman have been charged as of Friday, October 15, which brings the total number of people charged following the incident to eight.

An 18-year-old Ottawa man and a 17-year-old were charged with Mischief over $5,000 and Participate in unlawful assembly last weekend. A 19-year-old man was also processed with an Adult Pre-Charge Diversion.

An 18-year-old Ottawa woman is now facing Mischief over $5,000 and Participate in unlawful assembly, while an 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, both from Ottawa, have been charged with Mischief over $5,000 and Take part in a Riot.
