A former office administrator at Roberta Bondar Public School is being charged with theft after an Ottawa Police Service fraud investigation.

According to police, the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board conducted an internal review and found that revenues typically generated from the school were not received for the 2013-2014 year. After the board questioned school staff, the employee suspected of taking these funds did not return to her position as the office administrator.

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board filed a complaint to Ottawa police and investigators determined that criminal charges were warranted.

Kathleen St. Germain, 45, from Ottawa was charged with one count of theft over $5,000.  She is scheduled to appear in court on April 12.
