By Mike Vlasveld

The Gatineau Police Service is asking for the public's help in finding Lida Toomani.

She was last seen on Thursday, January 31, leaving the Gatineau Hospital after receiving care.

Toomani was expected back at the hospital later for other treatments, but she did not show up.

The SPVG says it has reason to fear for the health and safety of Toomani and want to check her well-being.

The woman is described as:

– White
– 56 years old
– Speaks French as first language;
– 5' 2'' (1.57 m)
– 140 lbs (64 kg)
– Short, salt-and-pepper hair
– Brown eyes
– Last seen wearing a long black coat with fur at the hood and heavy winter boots.

It's expected that Toomani would be getting around on foot.

Anyone with information on this woman is invited to contact SPVG at 819 246-0222.
