Handful of stunt driving charges laid in Ottawa after Project NoiseMaker focused on four neighbourhoods

By Mike Vlasveld

A number of Ottawa drivers are facing fines after Ottawa police traffic enforcement officers keyed in on Barrhaven, Kanata, Orléans and the ByWard Market over the weekend.

Of 61 charges laid, 31 were for speeding.

That includes four stunt drivers caught. They all face tougher provincial fines, including losing their licenses for two weeks and their vehicles for a month in the impound lot.

Five people were caught with improper mufflers, and Ottawa police say one person was busted for taking an e-scooter on a sidewalk.
