Ottawa police are investigating a collision that happened in the city’s west end and are asking motorists to drive with caution in the area.

The crash happened Saturday morning at the intersection of Strandherd Drive and Helene Campbell Road in Barrhaven West.

Police confirm that there were no injuries, although the city is on scene cleaning up property damage.

There are lane reductions on Strandherd Drive, and the lights at that intersection are out.

Police officers will be on scene directing traffic.

Police want to remind motorists to treat non-functioning or red flashing traffic lights as a four-way stop if the intersection is not being controlled by an officer.

Any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service’s west staff desk at 613-236-1222 ext. 2912.
