Loaded pistol uncovered in search of southeast Ottawa home

A 40-year-old Ottawa man is facing a number of weapon-related charges after the seizure of a firearm at a home in the city's southeast end.

A search warrant was executed on Dossetter Way on Friday, just north of Hunt Club Road and east of Conroy Road, where officers found a loaded pistol.

Davin Kuehn has been charged with:

  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon obtained by commission of offence
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order
  • Possession of ammunition contrary to a prohibition order

He is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
