Man accused of sending bomb and shooting threats to businesses, believed to be in Ottawa

The Ottawa Police Service is hoping the public can help it find a 22-year-old, accused of threating to kill people at multiple businesses.

In January 2019, police say Jovann Daniels sent text messages to two local organizations threatening that someone was on the way to shoot employees. He also sent repeated and unwanted emails to one of the two organizations.

In May, he also allegedly emailed a corporation in Montreal, saying he would be visiting a building with a bomb and a gun to murder employees. 

Daniels is wanted for:

  • Criminal Harassment (4 counts)
  • Public Mischief (2 counts)

Daniels is described as:

  • Black man
  • Thin build
  • Short brown hair
  • Known to frequent the downtown core of Ottawa and the city's west end
