Motorcycle driver in hospital with serious injuries following North Glengarry Township crash

Police say a car hit a motorcycle and fled the area.

Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP is investigating a motor vehicle collision on St. Anne Road (County Road 21) in North Glengarry Township that sent one person to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Police were called to the scene just before 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, after getting a call of a motorcycle and vehicle that had collided.

Police say the preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcycle was travelling eastbound on St. Anne Road when, for reasons under investigation, a vehicle struck the motorcycle and fled the area.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with their injuries.

OPP continues to investigate with the help of OPP Traffic Collision Investigators.

A section of St. Anne Road is closed to traffic with indicated detours in place at Hope-Oiument Road and County Road 21 North Glengarry.
