A 55-year-old truck driver from Toronto has been identified as the victim in a crash on Hwy 401 near Prescott.

It happened Thursday afternoon, and involved two transports and a fuel tanker truck.

The highway was closed in both directions for several hours as police investigated and ministry of environment crews cleaned up spilled fuel.

A 38-year old Ottawa man was driving the fuel tanker and suffered minor injuries, as did a 58-year-old Glengarry Township man who was driving one of the transports.

Grenville County OPP said the driver killed was behind the wheel of a red Volvo semi, which appeared to have run into the back of the fuel truck.
