OPP investigate fatal motorcycle crash in eastern Ontario township

OPP are investigating a motorcycle crash in the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan that killed a 57-year-old woman.

In a news release on Saturday, police said they were called to the scene of the single vehicle collision on Schutt Road, near Brodofske Road, on Thursday at about 6 p.m.

The investigation has so far revealed that the driver of the motorcycle was travelling northbound on Shutt Road, located about two hours west of Ottawa, and about 40 minutes southwest of Eganville.

According to police, the woman's motorcycle lost control on the gravel shoulder, and the driver was ejected from the bike.

CPR was performed on the driver by emergency crews.

The driver, identified as Mary Anne Zettler of Stratford, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem has been scheduled.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Police say this is the fourth fatal collision investigated by the Killaloe OPP this year.
