OPP investigating fatal collision in Westport over weekend

Members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcycle that took place on May 14 in Westport.
At approximately 4:20 p.m., officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Perth Road at Centerville Road which is south of Westport. The initial investigation indicates that a person on a motorcycle was travelling westbound on Perth Road and turning left. The driver was ejected as the motorcycle left the roadway and entered the ditch.
Kenneth Brightwell, 67, from Belleville, Ontario was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
