OPP investigating Prescott break ins

PRESCOTT, Ont. — The Prescott Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is investigating two break and enters on County Rd. 15 in Augusta Township.

According to officers, the incidents happened during the afternoon of March 1.

The suspect(s) entered unlocked sheds, garages and one unlocked house. 

Police also say a resident of Cardinal returned home from vacation to find their William St. home had been broken into. A personal computer, TV and cash were stolen.

Then on March 3, a Park St. apartment in the town of Prescott was broken into sometime during the day. 

Police say the suspect(s) broke a window to gain entry and stole a laptop. The OPP Forensic Identification Unit attended this location and collected evidence.
