OPP investigating serious 401 crash near Morrisburg

One person is in hospital with critical injuries after a single-vehicle collision on Highway 401 near Morrisburg.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say shortly after 7 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21, a pick-up truck was headed eastbound on Highway 401 when, for reasons under investigation, it left the roadway and crashed into the ditch.  

The driver was taken to hospital with critical injuries. 

OPP officers continue to investigate the incident.

A section of Highway 401 eastbound was closed to traffic, but has since reopened.
