No animals or people have been hurt in a barn fire on March Road, just off Highway 417 near Bearhill Road.
Ottawa fire officials say flames sparked in the 20' x 30' structure at 2:24 p.m., Wednesday.
The fire was declared under control just minutes later, but as of 3:15 p.m., firefighters were still on the scene, dousing the smoking barn.
An Ottawa Fire Investigator has been dispatched to the scene to determine the cause.
A 500 metre stretch of March Road is expected to be closed until 5 p.m. Police are directing traffic in the area.
