Ottawa man charged with willful promotion of hatred

By CityNews Ottawa

An Ottawa man is facing a willful promotion of hatred charge after putting up several anti-Semitic posters in Ottawa's west end last year.

Paul Koppe, 29, was first charged in December of 2021 with 26 counts of hate motivated mischief after several anti-Semitic posters were found in the Centrepointe and Barrhaven areas.

The Ottawa Police Service said the Attorney General of Ontario has approved the latest charged against Koppe of willful promotion of hatred.

Koppe is due in court later this year.
