Ottawa man facing sexual assault charges following online meeting with teen

The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit has charged an Ottawa man following an investigation into sexual assaults on a girl under the age of 16 in the Kanata area.

The man met the victim through a social networking site exclusively designed for teenagers.  

Investigators said the offences started in May of 2017, and continued until the middle of that following summer.

Kyle Boucher, 26, of Ottawa has been charged with:

– Sexual assault (three counts) 
– Sexual interference (three counts)
– Invitation to sexual touching (three counts)
– Telecommunications with a person under the age of 16 for the purpose of committing an offence.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

SACA investigators are concerned there could be other victims.
