The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Homicide Unit has charged a 16-year-old with first degree murder in the February 21 shooting death of Sahur Yare.
Yare, 20, died from her injuries after someone dropped her off at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus.
The name of the accused will not be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The 16-year-old suspect appeared in court on August 5 and was remanded into custody.
