Man wanted in connection to downtown September sexual assault, stalking offence

Ottawa police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man in relation to a sexual assault and stalking that happened back in September in the downtown area.

Police say that about 1:50 a.m. on September 27, a woman was walking in Confederation Park when she was sexually assaulted.

She recognized the man as someone who had been following her for months prior.

The man is described as a Caucasian man, between 40 and 50 years old, with a medium build, standing 5’7” tall with medium-length salt and pepper hair.

At the time of the offence, he was wearing a blue and grey jacket, blue jeans, blue shoes with white laces and a blue and white COVID-19 half-mask.
