Ottawa police looking for suspects after ‘unprovoked’ Vanier assault

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking for the public's help to track down suspects in an assault on Deschamps Street at Durocher Street in Vanier. 

Officers responded to the area around 9 p.m. on May 21, 2021, and found a 43-year-old man with extensive facial injuries. 

According to witnesses, he had just been a victim of an unprovoked attack. 

The suspects were gone from the area by the time police arrived. They are described as men in their 30s.  It's believed the suspects ran in the direction of Carillon Street and Baribeau Street.    

Investigators are asking residents who may have video surveillance or doorbell camera footage, or anyone with information about this incident that have not yet spoken to police, to contact the Central Investigations Section at 613-236-1222 ext. 5166.
