The Ottawa Police Service is looking to speak with anyone who may have seen or heard suspicious activity on Cambridge Street North recently.

It's investigating a shooting in the Chinatown neighbourhood, a block west or Bronson Avenue and south of Somerset Street West.

Officers rushed to the area around 5:16 p.m. after several calls regarding shots fired. They found several shell casings on the ground at the scene and say a vehicle had been damaged.

No one was injured in the shooting.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information about this incident. They are also looking for anyone who may have dashcam footage or security footage of the area at the time of the incident.

Later that evening, Ottawa police responded to another shooting in the Bayshore area.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Guns and Gangs Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5050.
