FOUND: Ottawa police searching for missing 36-year-old, last seen at Queensway Carleton Hospital

UPDATE: The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) says Yerckmide Henrice has been found and is safe.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking for the public's help to find a missing 36-year-old woman.

Yerckmide Henrice was last seen on Friday, January 21, 2022, when she signed out of the Queensway Carleton Hospital (QCH). 

Her family and police are concerned for her safety and well-being.

Police say Henrice has no known friends in the Ottawa area, but she may be in the Baseline Road and Woodroffe Avenue neighbourhood.

Henrice is described as:

  • 5' 9'' (175 cm)
  • Average build
  • Short, curly black hair
  • Last seen wearing a blue winter coat, a floor-length black skirt and a moss green headscarf over her head

Anyone with information about the current whereabouts of Henrice is asked to call the Ottawa Police at 613-236-1222. 

Anyone with any information that could assist investigators is asked to contact the Missing Persons Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 2355, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., daily.
