Ottawa police searching for suspect in Sandy Hill robbery

Officers say the suspect walked into a Laurier Avenue business, demanded money and left on foot.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking for public's help to identify a man involved in a robbery on Laurier Avenue East, near King Edward Avenue.

Police say a man walked into a business on January 11, around 11:40p.m., and demanded money before leaving on foot. 

No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as:

  • White
  • In his late 20s or early 30s
  • Approximately 5' 9'' (175 cm)
  • Heavy build
  • Was wearing a brown jacket with white trim; a black toque with white writing on the front; a dark-coloured hooded sweatshirt; blue construction style pants with yellow and blue straps; dark-coloured boots; and was carrying a black bag with some red on it
