Ottawa police seize handgun, homemade firearm in Overbrook

The Ottawa Police Service says it's taken another gun off the city's streets while also seizing a loaded improvised firearm.
Officers made an arrest on Queen Mary Street in Overbrook, in the evening hours on Thursday, August 5.
The improvised firearm is believed to be homemade.
Charges have been laid and the accused will appear in court at a later date.
