Six Ottawa drivers are without their licenses and their vehicles have been impounded after they were caught speeding by Ottawa police.

Late Saturday night, Ottawa police tweeted that four drivers on Highway 174 were clocked going more than 50 km/h above the 80 km/h posted speed limit in the past week.

This included one driver who was speeding at 153 km/h while road crews were working.

Two other drivers in the Prince of Wales Drive and Heron Road area were also caught speeding at 118 km/h and 141 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on Saturday.

In all cases, police impounded their vehicles for two weeks and their licenses were suspended for 30 days.

Two G2 drivers were also stopped for stunt driving over the weekend — the first on Heron Road going 113 km/h in the 60 km/h zone and the other 115 km/h in a 60 km/h area. Both licenses were also suspended and their vehicles impounded.
